Clinical Pilates as practiced at Waterfront Health Studio, is based on the original method developed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920’s, and advances in evidence based research in rehabilitation and human movement.
When you start Clinical Pilates at Waterfront Health Studio you will have an Initial Pilates Assessment appointment with one of our Physiotherapists. Most clients then require another two or three sessions to have their individual Clinical Pilates program designed. Our Physiotherapists will work closely with you to tailor your Clinical Pilates program to meet your specific goals and needs.
Our Studio programs include floor-based and equipment-based exercises (reformer, trapeze table, wunda chair, barrel, magic circle, pilates stick, rotational disc boards, dura discs, foam roller, physio balls etc). Once your individualised program has been developed you will then progress to our Clinical Pilates supervised sessions. There is a maximum of four people in each session, which allows your Physiotherapist to closely monitor your program and ensure you benefit the most out of your session.
